As part of the 2032 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Brisbane, the Gold Coast will serve as one of the three key zones, further solidifying its status as a premier sports destination. With seven venues dedicated to Olympic and Paralympic events, the Gold Coast will host a variety of competitions, providing world-class facilities and infrastructure.

The Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre will play a vital role, hosting preliminary volleyball events along with Powerlifting and Sitting Volleyball during the Paralympics. Broadbeach Park Stadium will be home to Beach Volleyball in the Olympics and Football 5-a-side for the Paralympics. The Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre will welcome Judo and Wrestling events for the Olympics, while also accommodating Boccia in the Paralympics.

In addition to these venues, the Southport Broadwater Parklands will be used for the Olympic Triathlon and Marathon Swimming, as well as Paratriathlon events in the Paralympics. Coomera Indoor Sports Centre will host Volleyball in the Olympics, and Wheelchair Rugby for the Paralympics. The Robina Stadium will be the site of preliminary football matches.

An exciting possibility for the Carrara Stadium is the potential inclusion of Cricket in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. If the IOC approves cricket, the Carrara Stadium could host this thrilling sport during the 2032 Games.

The Gold Coast's involvement in the 2032 Summer Olympics and Paralympics will not only enhance the region's global reputation but also create a lasting legacy of sports and community engagement across Australia.
